When to take legal advice
- Before signing a contract. Whether the terms favour you should not be something you learn later.
- When forming a partnership. Writing the separation scenario at the start is easier than arguing it at the end.
- In transfers and acquisitions. Due diligence is what confirms the other side actually owns what you're buying.
- When working with parties abroad. Governing law and forum determine everything once a dispute starts.
- When a compliance question arises. Administrative penalties in the UAE can be heavy; asking is the cheapest step.
